In November 2012, Joshua Oigara at 37 became the KCB Group's youngest ever CEO. This was East Africa's oldest and largest bank with $6 billion in assets and the immediate media reaction to the appointment was shock. Ogilvy developed a "100 Day" communication plan aimed at helping the new CEO sell his vision to employees, media, investors, customers and other partners. This was supported by a media training and executive visibility programme.
The result was a 180 degree turnaround in media sentiment with Mr.Oigara firmly positioned in everyone's mind as a thought-leader.
